Where: Wat Suwannaram Pier
Concept: The murals date back to the 17th century during Ayutthaya period, making them some of the oldest Thai-temple murals in existence. A large teak wood pavilion ones stood in the royal palace at Ayutthaya, but was moved to Petchaburi in the late 18th century.
What to Love: The main ordination hall houses magnificent 300-year-old murals depicting devotees offering prayers to the Buddha. A beautiful wooden hall has a preaching throne with intricate woodcarvings.
